Let me introduce myself!

Headshot of Brittany Vazquez, LPC-MHSP, Founder of Openworld Counseling

Hi, I’m Brittany Vazquez, LPC-MHSP.

I’m a licenced professional therapist with over 10 years of experience. If you experience anxiety, depression, neurodivergence (ADHD/autism/sensory processing concerns), burnout, or chronic feelings of overwhelm, you’ve come to the right therapist!

The types of therapy I use are:

  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy [ACT]

  • Dialectical Behavioral Therapy [DBT]

  • Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing [EMDR]

  • Coherence Therapy

  • Somatic (body-focused) approaches.

Outside of sessions, Brittany may be found spending quality time with her family, reading (both personally and professionally), playing video & board games, tending to her aquarium, or planning her next trip to a Renaissance fair.

How do I know if Openworld Counseling is right for me?

Openworld Counseling was created for people who:

  • Are tired of trying to seem “okay” when their mental health makes any task feel impossible.

  • Are, or suspect they are, neurodivergent and who want to learn how to work with their brain, instead of against it.

  • Want to leave their past in the past but can't seem to let old fears and patterns go.

  • Work in the medical and/or helping professions and want to work with a therapist who understands the needs of these professionals AND has lived experience.

  • Want to have a healthier relationship with technology and/or gaming AND want to work with a therapist who understands the power technology has to build community and resilience.

If you’re tired of fighting just to make it through the week, I can help you discover a life you don’t need a vacation from.
